The first one is of my dog Moose, I played around with the rear sync flash at home and loved it but could find proper lighting to use it on people anywhere.
The second is of a man I see walking around town often, he was attempting to direct traffic for the Polar Express here in Lyndon and basically angrily waved every single car by and grunted at them. I thought the distance gave a better feel to how isolated he and his actions were from the happy families everywhere.
The two centered shots of the pups are for my story board but I also wanted them online to share with people so ignore them as far as portraits go.
The last one is of the train conductor peering out the side of the Engine. There was a nice shot of him yawning that really depicted how bored he looked but I had my Iso to high and it maded him look like a cubist era painting of a grumpy old man...

I liked the framing and how he is looking through the frame on the train shot. The one directing traffic is interesting, I missed the loneliness or mood in the shot. He does not look like he is having a good time.

I like the picture of the conductor, he is framed perfectly. Also, the guy in the safety vest is framed by the trees and pole. Nice job.

I like the first one of the dog up close. The photo automatically focuses on his face. The picture of the train conductor is a really nice shot, especially the way you gave him space to look into.
